Second Grade

PatThe primary goal of second grade is to develop in our students a higher level of independence as learners. More emphasis is put on personal responsibility for remembering to complete work and use time in the classroom wisely. As the case in every classroom, independent reading and higher level writing are the foundations on which growth is built.

Multiple Open House opportunities, Parent/Teacher conferences and weekly newsletters develop a cooperative link between home and classroom.

Communication with the home is an integral part of creating a successful learning experience. Notes and emails from the teacher keep parents keep parents well informed and up-to-date of classroom Teacher- Mrs. Pat Wenger       activities and accomplishments.
