Fifth Grade
The primary focus of fifth grade is strengthening language arts and math skills in preparation for middle school. Hands-on activities are utilized whenever possible, while worksheets and workbooks are used to practice and master educational skills.
Communication with the home is an integral part of creating a successful learning experience. Notes and emails from the teacher keep parents keep parents well informed and up-to-date of classroom activities and accomplishments.
Literature serves as the springboard for instruction in skills and strategies that will help students develop into fluent, lifelong readers and articulate, effective communicators.
